Check Out Reports

Why use a check out?

A check out is undertaken when the tenancy expires and involves our inventory clerk returning to the property to compare its original condition with that at the end of the tenancy. This information is vital for settling any disputes.

What does a check out consist of?

A check out involves checking all items listed on the inventory, noting any damages or variance in condition. It also looks at general cleanliness of the property. Keys are listed if available and meter readings taken if accessible.

We use experience and common sense to reach a judgement about what can reasonably be taken as Fair Wear and Tear. Amongst other factors, this will be influenced by the quality of supplied items, as well as their condition at the start of the tenancy.
